Script for finding new faces:
"Excuse me - my name is Suzie, and I am out and about
today looking for women to feature in my portfolio. I am with Mary Kay Cosmetics
and am putting together a portfolio for our new Mary Kay Year. I am looking for
women from all walks of life. I would love to feature you/or your face. You
would be perfect for my____________ section. It's real easy - you will receive a
FREE makeover and I will take an after picture of you. There is no
obligation and it will be lots of fun. Would you be interested?
(wait for response )
We can do this a couple of different ways - you are welcome to come to my
in-home studio for a more private makeover or if you love a lot of fun, you can
come to our Girls Night Out on a Wednesday evening. Which would you prefer?
Great! Just give me your name & number and I will call you tonight or tomorrow
to set up your appointment."
At this point - I will offer them a small
thank you gift (sample hand cream with business card) and then chat for a few
more minutes about what section they would like to be featured in and what kind
of look they would like to try. I also ask them what time is the best time to
reach them and what is the best number to reach them at. If you can book them on
the spot - great!! Otherwise, let them know that you will call them that evening
if possible.
Supplies
I chose to purchase the 1 inch binder at an office Supply store.
I printed the 6 COLOR Pages for each book, and 10 MODEL pages (in black ink
only) for each category to get the book started.
I used plastic sleeves on all of the pages, tabbed dividers between sections and
also a page to hold business cards in the networking section.
Supplies for 2 books cost me approx $18-
